Oct - Nov 07

Well I can say that the fishing has been just about as good in October that I have ever seen it. There have been excellent catches of Wahoo, Mahi & Sailfish just about every day. Inshore there have been plenty of big Spanish Mackerel & King Mackerel. As we move into November things are starting to slow down a bit offshore we are still getting the Wahoos & a few Sailfish even a few Blackfin Tunas are mixed in. Inshore the King fishing is excellent & will continue to be the rest of the month. But the BIG news is it is Bluefin Tuna time!

Now is the time to start looking for the Giants inshore we will be chasing them now through the first of Feb. anywhere from 5 miles off of the beach to about 20 miles. There are still some good dates open for these Giants.

Can you say WAHOOS! Man the fishing has been awesome the last part of the summer & early Fall we have seen the best Wahoo & Sailfishing that I have ever seen. We have been having great Wahoo catches & multiple Sailfish on just about every trip along with a few Gaffer Mahi thrown in to mix things up a bit. The inshore King Mackerel fishing does not get any better here than it does during the Fall. Of course we cant forget about the huge Spanish Mackerel that show up around the Cape every Fall. Last but not least it is almost time for the Winter Giant Bluefin Tuna to make an appearance just off the beaches for those of you that can handle the pain of fighting a 300 - 800 pound fish! Give me a call we still have some good dates open.

Mahi Mahi - Morehead City Charter Fishing

Fishing has been wonderful to say the least allot of things have happened in the last few weeks. For starters we are now running the Fight -N- Lady a 60 ft Davis she is defiantly a dream boat she is fast & catches fish. The fishing has been awesome with nice catches of Gaffer & Bailer Mahi (Dolphin) & the Wahoo fishing has been outstanding this summer with an average of 4-8 Wahoos a day I hope this is just a sample of what we are in for this fall. Billfishing has been pretty fair also this summer with plenty of shots each week mostly White Marlin & Sailfish with a few Blue Marlin mixed in as well.

As for the inshore fishing goes the Spanish Mackerel are right on the beach which is nice for the kids & the King Mackerels are just a few miles off of the beach & should continue to be until late fall.
Thanks,
Capt. Shane

Mahi Mahi - Morehead City Charter Fishing

What a great yellowfin tuna bite we had this April.  Big ones were the norm - from 50 to 70 pounds.  Planer rod, munching on the teasers or hitting the way back - it was action all over the spread.

May has been nice gaffer dolphin action - Mahi Mania!!!  Today we had three citation mahi's.  The bill fish bite has also turned on as we head toward summer.

Let's go fishing!

Bluefin Tuna in Morehead City

March was really good to us this year.  The weather and the fish cooperated.  We had some real nice wahoo and yellowfin tuna catches.  It is hard to beat the excitement of the speed of a wahoo run AND the strength of a 60 pound plus yellowfin run.  Plenty of action still out there, give us a call.
